Extinct & Endangered is the result of a three year project between Levon Biss and the American Museum of Natural History in New York. The exhibition displays 40 insect specimens from the museum’s collections that are either threatened or already extinct, with the aim of highlighting to the public the current crisis of insect decline and biodiversity loss.
The exhibition in New York opened in the summer of 2022 and has an estimated end date of summer 2025. During this time, the exhibition will have been viewed by over 15 million visitors.
Whilst on display in New York, the exhibition has also been touring the globe with shows in Germany, China and Canada. Further exhibitions are booked for 2025/26, information on these events will be posted on Levon’s social media channels.
