Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh

The inaugural exhibition of The Hidden Beauty of Seed & Fruits was held at the prestigious Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh in Scotland in 2021, displaying 59 beautiful prints showcasing specimens from the carpology collection.

Using his bespoke camera system and photo-stacking techniques, Levon set up a studio in the garden’s herbarium to produce the highly detailed photographs over a period of 1 year.

The frames for this exhibition were also hand built by Levon. Using locally sourced timber, each frame incorporates the botanical label for the specimen, inset into the lower edge of the frame.
